Mixing a vial sets its concentration, and the concentration decides which mark on the syringe a dose corresponds to. This does that arithmetic and shows where the result falls on the barrel.

What this does not tell you

It converts one number into another. It has no opinion on whether a dose is sensible, safe, or worth taking, and it cannot know what is actually in a vial. Most compounds people reconstitute are not approved for human use anywhere, and a figure on a label is a claim rather than a measurement.

1 mL = 100 units on a U-100 syringe

One microgram is a thousandth of a milligram, which is where most arithmetic errors on this subject come from. A dose entered in the wrong unit is out by a factor of a thousand, and the calculator cannot catch that for you.
